Hi, I’m Bonie Shupe, a sustainable fashion expert with over 25 years of industry experience.

I began my career in the outdoor industry, building communities and leading marketing as a creative director. As I became more aware of the environmental impact of materials and apparel, I shifted my focus to product and returned to school to specialize in materials and apparel design.

After graduating, I resumed consulting, working with brands like Spyder, Cabela’s, Simms Fishing, Krimson Klover, Ibex, and Paka. Over the past six years, I’ve worked in-house as a VP of Product with small, fast-growing startups focused on natural and sustainable fibers. I’ve collaborated with both community artisans and large-scale manufacturers, gaining a deep understanding of small-batch and commercial-scale production. This has allowed me to leverage textile innovation, consumer trends, and brand positioning to help brands pivot and scale with intention.

My expertise spans product strategy, merchandising, design and technical development, team leadership, and connecting product to story for market adoption. I’ve built product and marketing departments from the ground up, creating systems that support brand growth. The most rewarding part of my work is helping others reach their goals.

I love what I do. I’m driven by curiosity and a passion for art, design, the outdoors, travel, human behavior, connection, and data-driven thinking. I create purposeful products and foster meaningful relationships by focusing on shared values. At its core, my work connects brands and communities.

“To rewild” means returning to a more natural or wild state. A rewildist studies and applies rewilding practices.

In 2025, I fully committed to consulting. As an independent consultant, I help brands embrace sustainability in ways that create real, lasting change. My vision is to be a catalyst for circularity—one of the few measurable, actionable sustainability strategies we have. My mission is to demystify circularity and equip businesses with the tools and insight they need to thrive in a changing industry.

I look forward to helping you future-proof your business—for a more circular future.
